Men's nested suits are sold as a unit of coat and pants. The pant is 6 inches smaller that the coat, ex. a size 40 coat would be nested with a 34 waist pant. This is standard throughout the industry.
Suit Separates, as the name implies, provides the ability to combine any size pant with any size coat because the coat and pants are sold separately. Also separates can be purchased either with the flat front or the pleated front trouser, where as nested suits do not provide that flexiblity.
